We are making it easy to play, to learn, and to improve your skills. We start by listing the tunes for the next session on this site. We include sheet music in PDF format so you can easily download, print, and practice ahead of time.
Jam Sessions...
They’ve been happening since the first time a musician stopped reading the music and started to improvise...we call it “Jazz” and it’s the All-American art form. Sometimes “cool” and sometimes “hot”...jam sessions are the venue for developing new ideas and honing musical skills. A Jam Session is the ideal training ground for new and inexperienced musicians. So why aren’t there more jam sessions for young musicians? A most excellent question, and one we answer in the most logical way possible...by hosting monthly Jazz Jam Sessions for young players.
Jam Session Rules:
1) Jam Sessions are meant to be fun...you don’t need to be a professional to have fun with Jazz
2) Everyone gets to play...we will strive to give every musician equal solo time
3) Respect your fellow musicians and encourage one another
4) Know your instrument and keep it maintained...don’t break down on stage (super embarrassing)
5) Play it loud and play it proud...there are no “wrong” notes...just hesitant ones
