These are PDF files you can download and print. Most are easy tunes to play once you’ve heard them, so
if they are new to you...go to Youtube and listen to a few recordings. The tunes are for the upcoming jam
session, and knowing the music and chords will help you feel more confident and play at your best. And
learning new tunes is part of the fun of jam sessions.
Keep in mind, the sheet music is in the Key of C, so most horn players will have to transpose. Being able
to transpose while reading music is a vital skill in the music business and becomes easier with practice.
With time it will be as natural as reading in your own key.

Vocalists: Jam Sessions are oriented toward instrumentalists, but we don’t want to leave an aspiring
Jazz vocalist out in the cold. In order to accomodate a vocalist and not short change other participants
we will follow some simple rules.
Rule #1: Only one vocalist on stage at a time.
Rule #2: Only songs on the song list are available. If you would like to sing a particular tune, send us a
copy of the sheet music and we will do our best to include it in the upcoming jam session.
Rule #3: Format; the vocalist will open the song and sing the first verse. Then soloists will play, and the
vocalist will close the song with the final verse. To make time for everyone, we may restrict how many
tunes in the jam session will include vocals.
We’ve had requests to repeat some tunes
from past sessions as some musicians
weren’t able to attend. As a result, there will
be tunes included each month from past
sessions. Also, as we don’t always get to
each song posted, we will sometimes move
those songs to the following month.

These are tunes from the November
Jam Session. Future sessions will be
announced after the holiday season,
along with new tunes.
